At MeowAnime, privacy is an uncompromising engineering principle. We do not require accounts, we collect zero personal data, and all personalization is stored locally on your device.
No Accounts or Passwords
There is no sign-up form, no password database, and no email verification. You are always anonymous.
Device-Local IndexedDB
Your watchlist, watch history, and resume positions are persisted in your browser's IndexedDB. We never store your watch activity on our servers.
Zero Tracking Cookies
We do not use advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral trackers. No cookie banner is needed because no tracking cookies exist.

1. Information We Do Not Collect
We never request or collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, physical addresses, or demographic markers. There are no viewer accounts.
2. Network Requests & Edge Caching
When streaming video or fetching anime metadata, standard network metadata (such as IP address and user-agent headers) is temporarily processed by edge CDN routers solely for routing packets and mitigating DDoS floods. IPs are rotated and hashed; raw IP addresses are never persisted in user databases or behavioral analytics.
3. Optional End-to-End Encrypted Sync
If you choose to use our cross-device Sync Code feature (§2.2), your data is encrypted directly in your browser using AES-GCM 256-bit encryption before transmission. The server receives only unreadable ciphertext indexed by a blinded lookup hash. We cannot read, decrypt, or identify your synchronized library.
4. Your Right to Erase
You have unilateral control over all information on your machine. Clicking the "Clear All My Data" button above will purge all IndexedDB databases, localStorage keys, and session cookies instantly.
